An album born out of chaos. I did my best to condense the definitive worst two months of my life into something beautiful. I tried to shape the worst of the pain into something that could be processed and understood. This album is a work of healing. I tried to form the album that had been floating around in my head into something listenable and enjoyable. The album in my head was never intended to exist, and was never going to be recorded. And yet, sometimes the unexpected happens.

I don't know what to define this as. I would like to think that I struck an adequate balance between structured sections and long form pieces that seemed guide themselves where they wanted to end up. There are elements of drone, minimalism, and maybe some post-rock swells sprinkled in. A couple of the tracks have lyrics and melodies but the majority of the run time is instrumental. It is often dense and layered, but can be equally sparse and quiet. There even exist a few moments of pure chaos.

Much of the material recorded for this album was discarded, never to be heard. Parts were rearranged and used in different tracks than originally intended. Long form improvised takes were cut and spliced together. A majority of the album was recorded and produced in a state of pure exhaustion and pain, both physical and emotional.

The energy that created the recordings heard here has long since dissipated. What remains is only a fragment.
